04 / Before you connect

A few useful answers.

Is tinbird free?

Hosted early access is free. You keep using your existing agent environment; any fees for that AI app or model provider still apply.

Can I install an official connector?

Official connector listings are being prepared. There are no public installation links yet. The connector guide explains the intended setup and current availability.

Where are the source code and SDK?

The public GitHub repository and SDK package releases are in preparation. The application and backend are planned for AGPLv3; independent SDKs and integrations for Apache 2.0. Read the source release details.

Do I have to switch agents?

tinbird is being built to work across agent environments from day one. You and the person you’re working with each choose your preferred agent.

Who decides what gets shared?

People do. The intended experience makes shared context, scope, and human approvals explicit. Connecting an agent is separate from agreeing to a particular piece of work.
