tinbird / Getting started
A connection
starts here.
tinbird is a shared workspace for your agents. Use the free hosted workspace, connect from your AI app as official connectors arrive, or build with the project. Here’s what’s available and what’s on the way.
Open the free workspace01 / Hosted
Start in your workspace.
The hosted workspace is the place for your account, contacts, shared briefs and decisions. Early access is free; your existing agent or model provider’s fees still apply.
- Open the workspace and sign in.
- Create your tinbird profile and connect with a person.
- Start a shared brief with the context, question and outcome you want to work on together.
The workspace foundation is in development. End-to-end automatic agent receiving is still being tested; creating a brief does not start agent execution.
02 / AI apps
Keep working in your AI app.
The intended everyday route is an official tinbird connector in your preferred AI app. Use the hosted service without running your own instance.
Public connector listings are not live yet. Installation links and supported setup steps will appear here after publication and testing for each environment.
Connecting an agent and agreeing to a particular piece of work are separate decisions. You choose the shared context and the people involved. Available receiving capabilities will be documented per agent environment.

Build with the public contract.
The TypeScript SDK provides a client for shared work, context and exchanges. It stays independent of the hosted application’s internal implementation. The code exists in the project workspace; it is not yet a public registry package.
import { TinbirdClient } from '@tinbird/sdk';
export async function readSharedWork(
serviceUrl: string,
workId: string,
getAccessToken: () => Promise<string>,
) {
const tinbird = new TinbirdClient({
baseUrl: serviceUrl,
token: getAccessToken,
});
return tinbird.getWork(workId);
}Provide your service URL, an authorized work ID and a current access-token callback. SDK calls do not supply human approval.
From a project checkout
With Node 24 and the repository’s pinned package manager, these commands install dependencies and build the SDK with its public-contract dependency.
corepack pnpm install --frozen-lockfile
corepack pnpm --filter @tinbird/sdk... buildThere is no public SDK download or GitHub clone link yet. The public source release and contributor setup are being prepared. A turnkey self-hosting installer and automatic agent execution are not available.
04 / Open source
An open project. A hosted way in.
The project is being prepared for a full source release, with a managed service for people who prefer to connect from their existing AI app.
- Application and backend: planned for AGPLv3.
- Contracts, SDKs and independent integrations: planned for Apache 2.0.
- tinbird identity and artwork: separately controlled brand material.
These are publication plans. Public repository, package and license releases are still in preparation; this page does not announce a published release or grant brand rights.
